Top 200 Dynasty Rankings (Coming Soon)
Ranking Notes
- Dynasty ratings are based over the next 5 years and based on traditional 5×5 roto category scoring formats
- Luke Keaschall, JJ Wetherholt, and Travis Bazzana are all exciting young second baseman who have the upside to rise in these rankings due to their young age.
- Keaschall has already debuted and flashed an elite hit tool in his brief MLB stint to date. A high energy player, he projects for 20 SB+ over a full season and could unlock more power than expected due to his aggressive pull air rate. Watch him as a breakout candidate with top-5 upside at the position.
- Wetherholt is a strong candidate to shift to 2B with Masyn Winn locked in as the Cardinals everyday shortstop. Projected to debut in 2026, he has the bat to stick immediately upon arrival. One of the top college bats in the 2024 draft, he has rocketed through the minors with a blend of speed and power.
- Travis Bazzana looks like the Guardian’s future everyday second baseman and was just promoted to Triple-A. His strong plate discipline makes him more valuable in OBP formats and he projects for average power and speed. He’s a high-floor, dynasty asset.
- Matt McLain missed all of the 2024 season due to injury and is back playing everyday for the Reds. He was a fantasy breakout back in 2023 and is currently pacing for a 15 HR/20 SB season. With his first season back plus a normal offseason, he could return to 20 HR/20 SB form and reclaim top-10 status at the position.
- Brice Turang, Nico Hoerner, and Xavier Edwards all possess plus hit tools and plus speed, making them batting average contributors with 30+ stolen base upside. Turang is beginning to tap into more power while Hoerner and Edwards remain non-contributors in the HR department.
- Jose Altuve and Marcus Semien are two aging veterans signed to long-term contracts with their respective teams. Altuve is still showing strong production but expect the power to start to decline as he nears the end of his contract. Semien’s production has dipped the past two seasons and his days of 20+ homeruns and 20+ steals are behind him with his value being volume.
- Bryson Stott (27) and Andrés Giménez(26) are similar players who provide stolen base value, stable batting averages, and consistent run production when locked into everyday roles. While not flashy, they are dependable middle infield options who can round out a fantasy roster.
